Missions Trip Day 12 - Madrid

For our last meal at camp, Doug and the cooks prepared french toast for us.  We then got to the airport about 2 hours before our flight, after some traffic delays due to a pair of accidents on the freeway.  We were trying to have our luggage meet us in Chicago, so we did not have to carry it with us over the 3 trains it was going to take us to get to our Hotel in Madrid from the airport.  But, because of ticket problems we were unable to accomplish that.  However, attempting to get things straightened out took over 2 hours.  Iberia delayed the flight on our behalf and we ended up running through the terminal to make it to the plane.  Praise God we all made in onboard!

Once we landed in Madrid, none of our luggage was there, so we spent a few hours filing luggage claim tickets, then going upstairs to work out our ticket problems for our flight to Chicago.  Our luggage is supposed to be shipped to our homes (or to Bucharist in Aaron's case), and we obtained our goal of not transporting our bags in Madrid!  Our hotel was like a museum, and the beds were soft and warm.  Again, our groups parted ways to see the night life in Madrid.
