"It feels like home" is a common phrase heard from our visitors.  The ministries at West Hill Baptist Church are structured in a way where an individual or family can easily fit in the body of the church, with many areas for growth, study and warm fellowship.

Nursery

Psalm 127:3 says, “children are a gift from God.”  Our nursery volunteers are made up of people who cherish and treasure children as a gift from God.

We have an infant Nursery ages 0 up to 18 months during our Sunday School hour, Worship Service and Wednesday evenings!

Toddler Nursery is also available for ages 18 months up to 36 months during our Sunday School hour, Worship service and Wednesday evenings!

We have a pager system if a need arises we can get a hold of you during a service!

Toddler Nursery

We would like to welcome children ages 18 to 36 months to our Toddler Nusery. This ministry is provided during the Sunday School, Morning Worship and Wednesday night services.

We have a pager system if a need arises we can get a hold of you during a service!

Children's Church

We welcome children 3 years through Kindergarten for our Children's Church program.

Children 3 years through kindergarten attend Children's church every Sunday during the Morning Worship service. Currently this class begins with learning centers which will incorporate Biblical truths with Group's "Hands On Bible Curriculum" into the natural play developmental stage of preschoolers as an optimal learning experience. The learning center will be followed by short Biblical stories with a variety of arts, crafts, snacks, and music activities to reinforce the children's learning experiences. This December we will be switching our curriculum to Group's "Buzz Curriculum." We are excited for the change as kids will experience Bible truths in ways they enjoy and understand. Kids will learn in whatever way fits their style-whether that's reading, acting, drawing, listening, singing, playing a game, and more.

Youth Group - DETOUR

Ever wonder where God is taking you? Have you ever wondered why your life can suddenly change when everything seems to be going right? Or when life seems hard and you have no clue when it’s going to turn for the better? DETOUR is a Youth Group committed to following God’s way, not our own. Sometimes this means that in any moment of your life, God may throw a detour your way to take you off your path and put you on His (Psalm 16:11). Throughout these detours, there are times when we feel God has left us. We are longing for the next sign to point us in the right direction because we desire to follow Him (1 Peter 2:21). Then, when we’re not expecting it, God shows us another detour to assure us that He is always there and in control. So…where is God taking you?

DETOUR meets on Sunday nights 6:00 - 7:30 PM and serve in Awana on Wednesday nights 6:30 - 8:00 PM during the school year.

Men's Ministry

Our men’s ministry includes a Men’s Fellowship Breakfast which provides an opportunity for men to meet every other month for a time of fellowship and a challenge from God’s Word.  We also attend conference's when possible, and participate in the Skyview Men's Retreat every spring.

There are basketball games on Monday nights in the winter months.

There are softball games on Monday nights in the summer.

DMA - Senior Ministry (50 and over)

We are proud to invite you to attend DMA (Don't Mention Age), our ministry designed for those who enjoy food, programs of varying kinds (inspirational, musical, and some just fun!), and good Christian fellowship.  This group meets in the church fellowship hall on the second Thursday of each month starting in April each year and continuing thru December.  We meet at 12:00 to share a pot luck lunch.  A free will offering is taken.

This program is one of many that we offer to strengthen Christian fellowship and to reach people of all ages and interests.

We cordially invite you to come (no prior notice needed) and enjoy the afternoon.  We meet at 12:00 and are ready to part around 2:00.
