David Neidlinger

Associate Pastor

David Neidlinger, associate pastor at West Hill Baptist Church, accepted Jesus Christ as his savior at WHBC when he was around eight years old. After hearing a lesson on the Armor of God, Pastor David truly understood what Jesus’ sacrifice was about, and he committed his life to Christ.

Although born in Canton, Ohio, Pastor David grew up in Fairlawn, Ohio, and attended Copley-Fairlawn schools, graduating from high school, where both of his parents were teachers, in 2000.

After attending the University of Akron for three-and-a-half years as a Computer Science major, Pastor David felt a call to ministry and switched to Malone College. During his time at Malone, he played on the tennis team for two years and also worked at Towpath Racquet Club for several years.

On June 19, 2004, while still attending Malone, Pastor David married his bride, Emily, whose father recently retired as the Pastor of First Baptist Church in Akron, where Pastor David attended services after becoming engaged.

After serving an internship at West Hill, Pastor David graduated from Malone College in December, 2005, with a B.A. in Youth Ministry. Shortly thereafter Pastor David was hired as the Associate Pastor at West Hill. In December 2019, Pastor David graduated from Baptist Bible Seminary with a Masters of Ministry.

Pastor David and Emily currently have three beautiful girls and two boys. Alana (2004), Nevaeh (2006), Peyton (2008), Logan (2010), and Judah (2020). They also have two dogs, Bonnie and Bentley, and three chickens.

Regarding West Hill Baptist Church, Pastor David said, “My favorite love about West Hill is the people’s willingness to serve in all of our ministries.”
